As we come together to celebrate Founder’s Day, marking the birth anniversary of our esteemed founder, Lord Baden-Powell, I wish you all a happy founder’s day celebration. Today, we pay tribute to the visionary leader whose legacy continues to shape the lives of millions of scouts around the world, including every one of us here in Mauritius, and Rodrigues.
Founder’s Day serves as an important reminder of the timeless values and principles that lie at the heart of the scouting movement. It is a day to reaffirm our commitment to the fundamental principles of scouting, passionately advocated by Lord Baden-Powell. Let us be inspired by his teachings as we embark on our own scouting journey, striving to make a positive impact in Mauritius, Rodrigues, and the world at large.
I wish to express my heartfelt appreciation to all the Scout Group who are commemorating Founder’s Day at the district level. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and unwavering commitment to scouting are the foundation of our movement. It is through your tireless efforts and contributions that scouting enriches the lives of young people and inculcates in them the values of integrity, resilience, and compassion.
